Education and Training - Rolling Out the New 2010 English Landguage Arts Course of Study

Rolling out the new 2010 English Language Arts Course of Study is in process.  How will this affect the Education and Training program?  It will impact the way you teach your students to develop lessons and/or lesson plans.  The new English Language Arts Reading Literacy Standards will be implemented across all subject areas in the curriculum next year.  It will be required that the literacy standards be integrated into every subject area’s lesson plans and this will include Career and Technical Education too.  This site http://alex.state.al.us/ccrs/ will provide you with more information about this new initiative.  You may also like to check out the Alabama Insight Tools page as well.  It will allow you to gain a better understanding of the new vocabulary and teacher language that will be expected.  You will find the link for the Insight Tools page on the same Web site listed above as well as the new 2010 ELA COS.  Education and Training – Rolling Out the New 2010 English Language Arts Course of Study.
