ServSafe Credentialing

FACS Teachers who are seeking ServSafe Credentialing, the Alabama Restaurant Association is providing different dates and locations throughout the year for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination.  The workshop is an 8 hour course (plus examination).  It runs from 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

Golden Spoon Award

Birmingham Culinary Arts students compete for the first Golden Spoon Award.  Three schools participated in the competition.  After winning the competition, the students who participated from Wenonah High School received scholarships to attend Culinard .  See page 11 of the Urban Educator to read the full article.
